Inspired by SMS!!!!

Thanks to SMS for giving this idea of taking this s'soon to be' engineer. Enjoy!!

May not be a star but rather a SPECIALIST.

Checking the internals of gas turbine engines require not only the type approval but a borecope internal inspection approval. This is one of the Base maintenance specialist whom not only specializes in the Stage 2 HPT Nozzles but had also Grounded 2 aircraft consecutively.

Picture taken during the recent A-Check of Bravo Hotel, which ended up AOG. And below is picture of his assistant, now borescope is no longer a two men job thanks to the Olympus Iplex 2 which made the job more easier, wished the latest Iplex 3 was bought.

Night Maint.

just one of those "A" chck night maint where the sky looks so stunning and a chance to take pic not to be missed

sweat + patience = work

shot some scenes during 9N-ACA pylon build up, its all like putting a puzzle together, trying to remember where each pieces goes, in thundering rain or sunny spells the show must go on, sometimes after all that energy gone, what keeps us going i think is just sense of responsibility, even working pass the wee hours, breaking all the rules in the book, the brain in sleep mode, just like a car running on fumes. for more pics on the build up click here

Nightshift

Some people have the beauty to get a proper sleep/rest during the night but unlike for some of us we have to be awake.. Not to mentions sometimes we do have the good nights but never the less we're always prepare for the worst... Defect Rectifications, Troubleshooting, MCR, SAC  etc are  just common words we used in the aviation world, although sounds complicated and time constraint but i still love doing it... here some of the pictures that my mate PG. Boy took during our 1st night shift working in the RH Eng of one our Airbus with my new toy Eos 40D... noise seems to be not to bad compared with the Eos 5D. I always had the split feelings between this two DSLR but i must say either way Canon eos n L's is my personal favorite toys...

V8-RBJ AOG.

Picture taken right after the engine was declared fully serviceable. It was a very tiring and exhausting time having to make Juliet serviceable, working tirelessly for the weekend, making sure LH Engine from Bravo Golf which was still undergoing heavy maintenance was rather challenging but fun. Red tapes here and there indication components requiring attention, fixing or changing, all was done in space of a day an half. Went home almost at 2 am, tired, knackered but yet satisfied. Plus, its weekend so the meter was running double time.
